Interestingly, I am also a PhD in chemistry (organic chemistry though...), finally retired thanks to God, now devoted only to image making.
If I may offer a suggestion, I suggest that you put a translator near the top of your page, for the morons like me! I speak only French and English, only a few words of Italian, a language that I would love to learn.
